So why a director driven and not a reflector driven? Answer: Ever heard the saying "A Jack of all trades and master of none"? ... Well thats true of antennas.

There's lots of yagi design programs on the web, but most of them do not tell you what particular strength the designer was aiming for.

As you probably know by now, all YAGI antennas are a COMPROMISE between various desirable qualities. You can not have them all. This design is for the greatest FORWARD GAIN, and not any of the other possible qualities that a YAGI antenna can have.

99% of antenna's out there take the easy option bit of gain good. fb wide band width... easy setup.. easy life, and no comeback.

Now with a low impedance close spaced yagi... you lose a little and GAIN even more narrow band width and poor fb average but lots more GAIN and since the bandwidth is so narrow its almost like having a good quality notch filter fitted for free for both incoming and out going
Out of band interference dramatically cut also tvi from a poorly filter cb type amplifier reduced.
So think small is beautiful.
if you require an antenna that can cove 10/ 11m  at the same time  then concider a moxon  antennas as these wont  do that
